First Contact Waiting List:
Prior to the birth of our puppies, we keep a running list of interested buyers who would like to be contacted once a litter is born. Prospective buyers on this waiting list are under no obligation to purchase a puppy but will be contacted, in the order they are listed, to determine at that time whether or not they would like to reserve a puppy. Our website will be updated periodically, but prospective buyers on our waiting list will be contacted before we post puppy availability to the general public.

Reserving a puppy:
Once they are born, puppies can be reserved for a non-refundable deposit of $400. We will reserve a puppy for you for up to 72 hours without a deposit to allow time for delivery of deposit. These holds can be placed over the phone or by email. I will email or send you a copy of the reservation contract upon request. Simply fill out a reservation contract and mail it to the address on the contract or you can scan and email the signed copy to me (I do not have fax). All payments should be in the form of cash or bank check (money order). Personal checks can be accepted but require up to 10 days to clear our bank, so it is nice to receive payment at the time you pick out your puppy (about 2 weeks prior to release date).

Payment and Delivery:
We are required to collect Minnesota state sales tax (6.875%). Puppies cannot be released until all payments have cleared, so we recommend that you send an advance payment of the balance before you plan to pick up your puppy. We encourage you to make arrangements to pick out your puppy after they are 5 weeks old, but at least a week before release date. First picks of the litter (both males and females) will cost an additional $25.00. Additional picks will be selected in the order in which they are reserved. You will need to decide whether want a male or a female at the time you place your reservation, with extra flexibility for those who are willing to adopt either sex. If you are unable to pick out your puppy in advance in person, we will do our best to meet your needs over the phone and by sending photos over the email. We will save a puppy that meets the closest description you are looking for.

Once you reserve a puppy, you will receive weekly photo updates and puppy information via email so you can watch your puppy grow!

We do not ship puppies and make it a selling point to meet with every buyer, as it is important to us that our puppies are placed in loving homes. We typically make one delivery to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and anywhere in between and have made arrangments with other buyers to help with delivery. 

Total Costs:   
The cost of this litter will be $1200 (+sales tax) for either males or females. A non-refundable downpayment of $400 will be required to hold reservations. 

Please note: This litter will be sold with a spay/neuter contract.

Because these puppies will have conformation, obedience, and field champion potential, I encourage buyers to train and show their dogs. Serious individuals with interest in breeding to improve the Golden Retriever line will need to speak with me in person regarding conditions for earning breeding rights. Breeding rights will continue to be owned by Windhill Kennel unless all specified conditions are met.
